What is there to do in Tulsa, Oklahoma?
I will be visiting Tulsa, OK this weekend and I had a question for the locals. What is there to do in Tulsa? So far, I will be going to the Philbrook Museum, but that's pretty much it. Also, because I love food, where are the best food restaurants that are exclusive to Tulsa/Oklahoma? I have taken off work to go to Tulsa so I am wanting this to be as fun as possible. Thanks a lot for your input.

tulsa has a statue of the golden driller in front of the i. p. e. building on the tulsa state fairgrounds, there is oral roberts university in south tulsa, there is also the tulsa zoo, as far as foods there are plenty of restaurants in tulsa, ok.

I'm fourteen years old, and I'm filling out job applications. It asks how many hours a week I can work, but I know there is a limit a person under 16 can work... I live in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. What is the maximum hours I can work per week? And what hours in the day can I work? I can't work before 7 am or something like that? How late can I work?

Required Breaks and Hours No child under the age of sixteen (16) years shall be employed or permitted to work in any gainful occupation , other than agriculture or domestic service, more than three (3) hours in any one (1) school day, or more than eight (8) hours on a non school day or, if the employer is not covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act, on a school day which precedes a non school day, or eighteen (18) hours in any one (1) week when school is in session, or forty (40) hours in any one (1) week when school is not in session. "In session" means the first Tuesday after Labor Day through May 31 of the following year. Children under the age of sixteen (16) years must be permitted a one (1) hour cumulative rest period for each eight (8) consecutive hours worked. However, no such child shall work more than five (5) consecutive hours unless permitted a one-half (½) hour cumulative rest period. Section 76. Wow. Exotic buyers are not "payment buyers". It is rare for someone to finance an exotic auto unless it is a tax write-off. I know this question is BS, but entertaining this... you have NO idea about how the car market works if you're asking about making a down payment on an exotic and making low monthly payments. Doesn't work that way. Let's say you finance a less-expensive preowned Lambo, let's say it's selling for $150K. Do the math... even with no interest, at 5 years, you're looking at $2500 a month on the car payment alone. Got that laying around? Then you have to buy insurance, which will run you anywhere from $30-50K a year at your age. And you don't just call Geico for that. Then there's maintenance. Need an oil change? Cough up $350. Need brakes? $3500. A tune-up? Hand over your mortgage payment. It's nice to have dreams, but a sense of reality is also necessary. If they were easy to acquire, everyone would be driving one.

If Republican politicians hated the stimulus for any real reason (not just political bi-partisanship), they wouldn't accept the money from the stimulus for their states. Almost all of them did accept the money, so that tells you what they really thought of it.

Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online. Check your local paper -- In many cases the paper's classified are now online. Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com. Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history.
