Where should I live in Tulsa?
I am moving to tulsa in a month for work and I need to know the best place I can rent an apartment. I would like to live in the Cherry Street or Brookside area. I am fine with a small space and would like to stay under $500 per month. Any website links would be greatly appreciated. Also, any parts of town to avoid would also be helpful. My job is in Utica Square and I would like to live close by. Thanks!

I can't really help you on that, but I can say prepare for a lot of tornado sirens and storms... Tulsa is more tornado active then most cities around Oklahoma.

apartmentguide.com is a good website. I would avoid the northside of Tulsa and the East side. Brookside and Cherry street is a GREAT area to live in especially if you're working in Utica Square. Anything out south is good, but if you're working in Utica Square it won't be a close drive compared to Brookside and Cherry St.

What jobs are hiring a 14 year old in Muskogee,ok with no required work permit?
I could try to get a work permit but i go to school in tulsa and im staying down in Muskogee for the summer. If i do try to get a work permit,could i just go to the Muskogee high school and pick one up from the office? HELP PLEASE. i need workkk! asap.

the high school has the permits for the employer to fill out. i wish you luck in the pursuit of a job. the dumb ass adult illegal hispanics have taken away most of the entry level jobs children like you use to have

part time coffee shop dinner bowling valleys you know

You have to figure that out yourself partner cause you're 15 and you always buy cheap and sell with a profit and that way make some cash or in a fast food joints if you know someone who can hook you there, you can start doing the dishes and you can move up from their to management if you desire cause remenber that you're the artist of your life. PS: Don't forget your education and that degree from college;) cause it will make life easy by working less and making more...and what come with it..etc

Anybody worked for whirlpool in tulsa?
My boyfriend had orientation last monday and still hasnt gotten a call back.He went through Key personnel to go to second shift,was wondering when they are gonna call him back,if he even got the job? Orientation was 4 hours long and if he doesnt get hired we dunno what wer'e gonna do,so is he hired there or not and when are they gonna finally call him to start work? He didnt fall asleep at orientation,and dressed up really professional for the orientation unlike everyone else who wore jeans and shirts.Hes gonna go there tomorrow but i dunno if he got the job? Key said it'd be 2-3 weeks but my friend who got no experience got hired a week after orientation.

Usually u start the job the day after orientation. If he fell asleep during the orientation he will not get a call back. He probably was just suppose to show up the next day and start work, but didn't know. He should call whirlpool and see what's up. My bro-in-law started the next day. If he fell to sleep during orientation they will not give him the job and they are stern on that.

Does anyone know a good lawyer in Tulsa, OK who can do pro bono work.?
My son was taken into dhs custody our family is completly devastated/. We don't have the money to hire a private attorney and dhs is threatening to take my parental rights please I'm begging for help.

Why do people think attorneys can work for free? Do they expect that of any other profession? A case like this takes a ton of time. And most pro bono attorneys don't want to take a case like this because of fear that they will help a child return to an abusive or neglectful home. (Let's face it, they don't take kids for no reason.) You can try calling your local library and asking them if there are free and low cost legal clinics in your area. I suggest, since you don't have your son any more, you get a job to pay for an attorney. (A second job if you already have one.) They might be willing to take it, but dont' get your hopes up - unless you can show there is absolutely no reason for them to take your son. In the meantime, do everything DSHS demands of you to get your son back. That will show you really want it to happen. Even if you dont' agree it's necessary.

Most states appoint attorneys for parents for termination of parental rights hearings, so you will receive the charity of the taxpayers. PS: How much free work have you and your family done for attorneys? Just curious.
